Who's Having A Front Yard BBQ ???!!!

Hello Neighborhoods!
This past week in Gordon Woods subdivision, neighbors welcomed two new homeowners on their street by having a front yard outdoor feast! All joined in while the kids played. A surprise visit came from Welcome Services Of Wilmington just to top things off...( below are pictures of sorts of thinks included in a Welcome Services goodie bag). This service is a free county wide service to welcome new residents to our area!!! Who knew!!? We thought you should... :)

Food Drive and Crime Watch Update for Area Residents

Good Morning Neighbors, regarding the court dates for the five men charged with the string of break-in's last month.  It looks like their court dates have been moved to 6/5/11, but again, I'm waiting to confirm this info.  If you haven't already, please take a few moments to call District Attorney Ben David at 341-1400 or at Benjamin.R.David@nccourts.org and tell him "NO PLEA BARGAINS, NO PROBATION, NO MORE EXCUSES".  Remind him how much these criminals hurt our community and that WE DESERVE AND DEMAND JUSTICE.

In other news, the US Postal Service will be collecting canned and non-perishable food tomorrow (5/14), as part of their Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.  To participate, simply place the above mentioned items in a plastic bag and hang them from your mailbox.  You postal carrier will collect them and then they will be delivered to the Eastern North Carolina Food Bank here in Wilmington.  You can read more about the food drive here: http://www.helpstampouthunger.com/

Also, just a reminder that the next Community Watch Meeting is on 5/24/11 at 7:00 PM at Northpointe Community Church, 4490 Gordon Road.  Please spread the word to your neighbors.

2nd Gordon Woods Neighborhood Sunday A.M. Walk

Attention Gordon Woods Community Residents!

Come participate in our 2nd Sunday A.M. neighborhood doggie and exercise walk again this Sunday, May 15th from 7:00-9:00 AM!

What a great way to start your day, and perhaps make new friends!! Coolers with ice cold bottled  water will be provided at the starting point (corner) along the walking route, as well as a place for plastic water bottle disposal.

Walk at YOUR OWN PACE, and join the community walk at any time between the hours of 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM. Walk for 10,15, or only 30 minutes if you choose, just come out!!

Main route will run from the corner of Gordon Woods Rd to Winter Moss Ln. Left on Winter Moss, and back to Corner of Gordon Woods Rd.)  Two laps is approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Three laps take approximately 30 to 45 mins

Come join us if you care to do so...We enjoy our neighborhood, so et's get moving together!!

This Morning's First Community Walk effort was a success. Many of you who were out today are already routine A.M. strollers, and were thrilled about having more neighbors join in!! Thanks for being a part of the Community Fellowship Blog today!!!!
