Also wanted to remind people that Memorial Day is coming up on May 30th and Flag Day is May 14! Help honor our fallen Vets and the adoption of the stars and stripes by flying your flag on these days!
And finally, if you haven't already, please take a few minutes and call District Attorney Ben David at (910) 341-1427 and tell him WE DEMAND JUSTICE! NO DEALS, NO PROBATION, NO PLEA BARGAINS FOR THE 5 MEN ARRESTED LAST MONTH FOR OVER 40 BREAK-IN'S!
One last thing, I close all my emails with "Stay Safe. Stay Vigilant." Because of the arrests of the 5 suspects last month, we had an extremely small group at the last Community Watch Meeting. Please, do not let the arrest of these men lull you into a false sense of security. We are STILL receiving reports of suspicious persons/vehicles within Gordon Woods, as recently as today. We are extremely grateful to our regular attendees, but we won't have an effective Community Watch without YOUR help. If you are reading this e-mail, please, save the date of 5/23/11 7:00 PM and come to our next Community Watch Meeting.
